Bleach And Bone: Summer Group Exhibition

Now On View: Bleach and Bone

Gallery wall, “Bleach and Bone” summer group exhibition.

Our summer art show “Bleach and Bone” features works in black-and-white by NW artists including C.E. Godfrey, Peter Keller, Max Singler, Rich Smith, Eugene Pizzuto and Julia Ricketts. Black pigments including ink, acrylic, pen and graphite create a range of textures, marks and imagery in this refreshing installation, which includes a mix of figurative and abstract works.

Introducing Artist Truitt Grae

We're thrilled to feature works by Truitt Grae in the gallery space during the month of October! Working in inks on paper, Grae follows the narrative of line to create striking abstract works. An interest in ancient languages along with the visual movement created by linear shapes truly brings this series to life.

"Zoopolis is defined as “where human and wild geographies melt and mingle”. With all the fear of getting infected with Covid-19, and a lack of knowledge about the invisible disease that shut all of us down, I felt a strong desire to be outside connecting with nature and fresh air. Being connected to wild geographies both emotionally and creatively, I found this work pouring out of me.

Making this work during my artist-in-residence gave me peace of mind and a joy. This work uplifted me during some of the darkest days of my life and I hope it does that for you as well." -- Karrie Baas

Reusable pyrex glass straws make a fun stocking stuffer. We’re excited about three new jewelry lines too: silver and enamel jewelry from Alisha Merrick, vintage Victorian buttons and brass chains from My Mother’s Buttons, and laser-cut brass and silver from A Tea Leaf.

Our Featured Artist is Miguel Lee-Leon, exhibiting abstract works in Venetian plaster and pigment. His rich, textured color fields make a beautiful statement in any home or office!
